About me

I am from Tenerife in the Canary Islands of Spain and I speak fluent English and Spanish. I became a therapist because of my keen interest in holistic human development and a firm belief that everyone can, and should, dedicate a little time to improving their quality of life.

My defining characteristics are optimism, tolerance and enthusiastic and I really enjoy helping my clients achieve complete mental and physical balance, increasing both their health and their happiness.

Year 2011

There is, inside you, all of the potential to be whatever you want to be and all the energy to do whatever you want to do.

Year 2016

One morning you will awake to find that you are the person you dreamed of, doing what you wanted to do, simply because you had the courage to believe in your potential and to hold on to your dream. ~ Donna Levine ~

Career

I moved to London at the beginning of 2009, after working for the highly reputed Royal Caribbean Cruise Line Company, and later, at a Five-Star Hotel Spa in the south of Tenerife. In fact, in order to work for the Cruise Line, I had to come to London and complete a stringent training course with Steiner (a British company).

Since 2009, I have been working in one of London's most prestigious Health and Beauty Spas, The Dorchester Spa, and as a freelance therapist with a rapidly growing clientele. Other experience included working at a chiropractor clinic. 15 years of experience.

In addition to my extensive professional training and experience, I am registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and I am a member of  the (CThA).

Massage

Remedial or Therapeutic Massage
This particular massage is designed to help the restoration of soft tissue. The use of several specialised techniques helps the body to repair damage and strengthen supportive tissue. Remedial massage speeds up the natural healing process, reduces painful inflammation and leaves you with a superb sense of well-being and relaxation.

Swedish Massage
This classic, gentle massage is designed to relieve body tension, calm the mind and nourish the soul. The Swedish massage is a wonderfully pleasurable and relaxing experience resulting in a fantastic feeling of well-being.

Deep Tissue Massage
This intense massage will restore structural alignment and balance within the body by releasing deep-seated, chronic tension, Pressure, carefully, tailored to your individual conform level, is applied slowly,  in conjunction with your body, awareness and breathing.
In the process of breaking down chronic tensions, breathing becomes deeper and the whole body benefits form the increased intake of oxygen. Deep tissue massage is an excellent therapy to remove long-standing, tension pain-spots and return vitality and flexibility to your body.

Sports Massage
Pre-event: Designed to optimize performance by preparing muscle and tissue for hard use, the pre-event Sport Massage is widely acknowledged as an important way of avoiding sport injuries. This massage increases blood-flow to the muscles, allowing them to be flushed and oxygenated more efficiently.
Tight muscles will be relaxed, enabling better joint flexibility through the full range of motion. Ideally, this massage should be done approximately  15-45 minutes before the event.
Post-event: This light and gentle massage helps stressed muscles to recover from intense activity by speeding up the removal of toxic waste-products and reducing inflamed tissue.

Pregnancy Massage
My pregnant clients often describe this gentle, relaxing lower back massage as feeling “ heavenly” as it soothes away their lower back pain naturally. And this special treatment also focuses on the legs to decrease any uncomfortable swelling.
In addition, the feet, arms, neck and head are soothingly massaged to remove pent-up tension, creating a tranquil state of mind and a wonderfully relaxed body. Pregnancy massage is a super way to relieve the discomfort caused by bodily changes during pregnancy. Massage helps women enjoy this exciting time of change with relaxing treatments that also promote restful sleep.

Foot massage
This is another highly pleasurable treatment for relaxing and soothing tired, aching feet, whilst improving the essential blood-flow to your extremities. Normally, a little foot massage is included in all the treatment with a few stretching techniques.
However, if you are interested in a full foot massage during your treatment, please ask for this at the time of booking. A complete foot massage also relaxes the whole body and leaves you feeling wonderfully refreshed and revitalised.

Scalp Massage
Scalp massage is designed to relax the mind, relieve head and neck tension pain-spots and improve healthy blood-flow to the skin cells where new hair is formed. As tension is often felt as muscle pain the head and neck area, a good scalp massage effectively relaxes and soothes those tight muscles, giving incredibly beneficial stress relief!
Imagine the wonderfully soothing sensation of having warm, fragrant Frangipani Oil massaged gently through your scalp, temples and neck, removing pain and stiffness and leaving you wonderfully relaxed.
